seeing is forgetting the name of the thing one sees

I love to go outside, walk and watch, look closer to all the things which are around us. So many things are just amazing and if you would paint them, the ones who would look at it would for sure find it “kitsch” and would say there is no way that something like this exist …

But it does in so many ways, things in nature exist which let me become speechless just because they are amazing. Today on a short Sunday afternoon walk we watched about 500 birds coming together, groups of 10, 20 or 30 birds would fly to that one tree where already 100 of birds where sitting and singing. It was spectacular to watch them perform this incredible meeting… And I just wished I would have had my camera

never ever leave the house without a camera – these precious moments are priceless…

At home I looked out the window and saw this… at least something else so beautiful which I was allowed to capture…

Looking at things very closely with all our presence, let’s really forget the name of the things, and then, just in this moment, the oneness of all the things opens up to us…

giving before receiving

taking “it”  (meaning my writing)  more serious I spend more time on reading other blogs.  One comment on someones question on how to get more followers for her blog was saying that you have to give before you can receive – and that is what currently is sticking with me.

It seems like  natures law, that as soon as we become more open to give we also seem to start receiving more.

So on my way of trying to give more I already received quite a lot, especially lot of inspiration and a lot of true stories of other peoples lives and experiences and the compassion we are able to feel.

may our writing and sharing of our inner thoughts help not only us but also others

intro to the elephants spriritual yourney

eventhough I never have had the experience of how it feels to “come out”,  it might feel similar to publicly write about the spiritual thoughts, ideas and questions which are part of my live.

But since it is a big part of what I do think about, what I want to learn more about and what is part of me, I might as well take on the challenge and share some of it, just in case I might not be the only one…

One great thing I came across during my years in Northern California is the Podcast “Zencast” , which has a great amount of excellent Dharma talks from different teaches.

One which still sticks with me is about the “Wisdom of Emptiness” by  Tenzin Palmo which was recorded in September 2006. Her question if we really would know  how good of a live we have struck me. “You do not have to worry about the next meal, you can think what you want, you can do what you want and you all can read what you want.  – So what are you reading ?” she asks us.

And I was thinking about the many hours I am wasting on the internet reading about insignificant stories of insignificant occurrences…

I do want to try to do my part in adding somethings which seems to me worth sharing and perhaps we can start a discuss about things worth sharing…

Elephants should be careful what they are wishing for …

Looking back on the last year, in particularly my work and what I wished for it to change, I have to say – wishing works!- so you better be very careful or very precise in what you are wishing for…

While in the last month during my previous job I often wished for the opportunity to run my “motor” (in which I revered to my brain ,my talents and my capabilities) at a  least 100% ,  I now wished it could be less.

My Motor was and still is running to the full extent of capability. But what I did not took into consideration was that no motor is meant to run without a break  with the full use of capacity, especially without a good maintenance program…

My Boss’s offer to take on a new project (on top of the one I already have)caught me by surprise. Under normal circumstances I probably would be proud to hear all his praise for my work, but thankfully I am long enough in this office to know that there are a lot of nice words without a real meaning – other than that there is lots of work waiting for you…

The perspective of  getting even more work and to continue to run my motor to the 100% lets me work on creating and formulating a new wish. This time considering all the aspects of what the interpretations of the wish could mean…

Once I come up with what I wish for again, I will hopefully be able to share it and foolproof it before I send it out into the universe…
